Nanoparticles of Colloidal Silver

By definition #colloid is a substance which contains dispersed insoluble #particles with size of 1‑1000 nm. Chemical and physical properties of #colloidalsilver are directly dependent on the size of #nanoparticles dispersed in it. This tiny 200x200 nm image reveals the distribution of colloidal silver nanoparticles deposed on #mica surface with average size of just 4,9 nm. Special NSG01_DLC #ultrasharp #AFM tips with a tiny nanowhisker on the end was used to achieve this fine resolution. Image was acquired with NT‑MDT's OPEN.
