Ferroelectric Domains in ErMnO3

ErMnO3, z-cut, single crystal Ferroelectric Domains in ErMnO3 Bright and dark areas correspond to positively and negatively polariszed domains. The meeting point of always 3 bright and 3 dark domains are topological defects and named ferroelectric vortices. Made 3rd place in both of the following image contests: - MRS Spring Meeting 2014 http://www.mrs.org/spring-2014-science-as-art-winners/ - Materials and Processes Symposium 2014, ETH Zurich http://www.map.ethz.ch/news_events/grsy/contest/imgs/sumbitted_images
