NT-MDT at NFO12
September 3-7, Spain. NT-MDT Co. participated in the 12th international conference of Near-field Optics, Nanophotonics and Related Techniques (NFO12).
The event took part in Spanish city San Sebastian and celebrated the 20th anniversary since its first edition in 1992. NFO was among the first conferences addressing optics on the nanometer scale, triggered by the fascinating prospects of near-field techniques for pushing the resolution of optical microscopy towards the molecular level.
NFO12 provided a platform to present and discuss the latest advancements, and was attended by participants from Europe, the USA, Asia and Australia. The program of the conference covered variety fields of nanooptics and photonics, including plasmonics, metamaterials, quantum information, biosensing, ultrafast dynamics and modern scientific equipment.
Dr. Pavel Dorozhkin presented the latest achievements of SPM NTEGRA Spectra. This complicated scientific system unites the full power of atomic force microscopy (AFM), confocal Raman and fluorescence microscopy and scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM) in one platform. 2D Raman maps with lateral resolution down to 10 nm have been obtained for different types of samples: graphene, carbon nanotubes, organic molecules etc.

“It was a great event for the scientists all over the world to share its outstanding achievements. And I am especially proud of our SPM NTEGRA Spectra which is in my opinion the world-best system integrating SPM, SNOM, Raman microscopy and many other tools for breakthrough scientific research” – said Dr. Dorozhkin afterwards.
